I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Julia Fazakas-Lewis the President and CEO of Independent Respiratory Consultants Inc. I would like to share a little of my professional back ground.
Independent Respiratory Consultants Inc. was started with a vision of making our communities a safer place to live, by the implementation of early defibrillation programs.
I have been a practising Respiratory Therapist for the past 30 years. In that period of time I have been blessed with many opportunities, gaining experience in the various areas of Cardio-Respiratory Care.
- Critical Care- Adult, Paediatric and Neonatal
- Critical Care Transport Team (Flight and Land Transport)
- Operating Room and Anaesthesia
- Cardio-Respiratory Diagnostics and Testing
- Patient and Family Education
- Clinical education for Home Ventilators and Non-Invasive Ventilation
- Community based Education for prevention and management of Cardio-Respiratory Disease
- Discharge and Community based Respiratory Therapist- Hospital to Home
- CPR Instructor-Heart and Stroke Foundation
Over the past 10 years of my career my focus has been on Cardio-Respiratory health and education in the community. It was the knowledge and experience that I acquired by teaching others during this period of time that has supported my vision and assisted me in this endeavour.
Our professional staff holds credentials through the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario as well as the College of Nurses of Ontario. Included in our team are Heart and Stroke BLS instructors, Information Technology Administrators and Site Assessment and Installation Specialists.
